Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament - The 11th Annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is hosted by Rocky Top Outfitter of Pigeon Forge and features multiple categories for contest. Open to children and adults. www.rockytopoutfitters.com

13th Annual Taste of Autumn - The Taste of Autumn is an event showcasing the best food and Live Entertainment in the area to benefit the United Way.  $25 Donation. Gatlinburg Convention Center.

October 7-23

Winter Magic Kickoff and Chili Cookoff - The downtown section of Gatlinburg, the entire street, shuts down to occupy all the chili vendors and entertainment and people that are expected to accommodate the event. The Winter lights are turned on as the main event for the evening. 865-436-4178.

Veteran's Day Celebration - Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is the stage for a series of tributes to America's Veterans; current and former. All Branches will be recognized. 11:00 a.m.

November 23-27

Festival of Trees - Dozens and dozens of trees of all sizes and shapes line the rows at the W.L. Mills. It's an extremely popular, festive and colorful occasion that benefit the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries. www.smarm.org
